Green Plains has reached a deal to sell their 100 MM gallon Hereford, TX ethanol plant for $39 million to Hereford Ethanol Partners, L.P. The deal also included a $75 million earnout provision tied to carbon capture earnings over a ten year period. That earnout begins in the first full quarter following the completion of upgrades to the biorefinery that will take 24 months from the closing of this deal.
