Tiverton Power Associates L.P. operates a 265 MW natural gas-fired, combined-cycle generating station in Tiverton, Rhode Island. The plant, which entered commercial operation on October 1, 2000, features a 172 MW General Electric 7FA7241 combustion turbine, a Nooter/Eriksen three-pressure heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system for NOx control, a 93 MW GE A-10 condensing steam turbine, and an air-cooled steam turbine condenser.

Emera reached an agreement with The Carlyle Group to sell its three natural gas-fired generation facilities in New England, known as Bridgeport Energy, Tiverton Power, and Rumford Power, for $590 million. The facilities contain a combined capacity of 1,100 MW and the transaction is expected to close in 1Q19.
