Japan's Sumitomo has divested the last of their U.S. onshore shale assets via the sale of their Eagle Ford position to a U.S. firm for an undisclosed amount. This followed the sale of their Marcellus Shale position in September 2020.

Japan's Sumitomo Corp has sold off its Marcellus Shale natural gas assets for an undisclosed total after acquiring a 30% stake in the acreage in 2010 from Rex Energy Corp.
