Eagle Creek Renewable Energy is an owner, operator and developer of hydroelectric power projects. Eagle Creekâs projects provide clean energy to electricity consumers in North America while providing recreational opportunities and protecting historical resources and the environment. Eagle Creek was founded in 2010 to acquire, enhance, and operate small hydroelectric power facilities. Eagle Creek currently owns and operates forty-seven hydroelectric facilities in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Maine and is constructing two new facilities in Vermont.

AEP reached a deal with Eagle Creek Renewable Energy to divest the 48-MW Racine Hydro Plant in Ohio, with the deal set to close in the second quarter of 2021. The sales price was not disclosed.

Eagle Creek Renewable Energy has completed the acquisition of 9-MW Anson and 19-MW Abenaki facilities. Additionally, the Company acquired a minority stake in the 4-MW Brassua facility near the village of Rockwood, Maine. Eagle Creek also acquired a majority interest in Kennebec Water Power Co.
