Lone Star II is a Dallas-based independent oil and gas company focused on the acquisition of producing properties with behind-pipe and drill-bit-oriented upside in several onshore domestic basins as well as acreage and drilling opportunities in low-risk resource play areas such as the Niobrara Shale. The principals are seasoned E&P executives with an aggregate 100 years of experience in A&D, land, technical evaluation, drilling operations and production operations in the targeted basins. EnCap initially partnered with the management team through Lone Star Land & Energy, which was sold in 2010.
