The Sabine River Works plant is a major source for ethylene copolymers, used in plastic packaging, and in industry. As of 2012, DuPont, based in Delaware, has 70,000 employees around the globe. It has nine plants in Texas, all along the Gulf Coast, including some of the largest petrochemical complexes in the world.
