Samson Energy Company, LLC ("SEC") was formed in December 2011 to continue the development and growth of the oil and gas assets retained by the Schusterman family following the sale of Samson Investment Company to an investor group led by KKR, after 40 years of profitable growth. SEC current oil and gas assets are located in the DJ Basin, Wyoming; Marcellus, Pennsylvania; Gulf Coast, Texas; and non-operated interests in the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
