    Total reported that it has entered into a deal to acquire Maersk Oil & Gas A/S from A.P. Møller – Mærsk A/S in a share and debt transaction valued at $7.45 billion. Under terms of the deal, Maersk will receive $4.95 billion in Total shares and Total will assume $2.25 billion in Maersk Oil debt. The share payment consists of 97.5 million common shares, representing 3.75% of the share capital of Total.
