Russia's Gazprom Comments on Current Pressures Facing Global LNG & Gas Prices

By Criterion Research
February 14, 2020 -

Russian firm Gazprom has cited that a supply glut in LNG and high storage levels around the globe are stressing prices across the globe and impacting their internal export forecasts.

The head of Gazprom's export unit, Elena Burmistrova, cited that she spoke to their traders who "confirmed the volumes which are “on the water”, and those are unsold volumes, are around 20 million tonnes.”

Kpler data suggests 15 LNG tankers serving as "floating storage" across the globe.
