NOAA Review on Jordan Cove Implies Minimal Impacts on Wildlife

By Criterion Research
January 14, 2020 -

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) review on Jordan Cove LNG cited that impacts from the project would be short term and/or small scale if the project were to move forward.  Also, the development would not harm protected species or change their critical habitat.

This follows a Nov-19 FERC environmental analysis which deemed that  "the FERC staff concludes that approval of the Project would result in a number of significant environmental impacts; however, the majority of impacts would be less than significant because of the impact avoidance, minimization, and mitigation measures proposed by Jordan Cove and Pacific Connector and those recommended by staff in the EIS."
