October 9, 2019 -

In Colorado, Halliburton is laying off 178 workers at its Grand Junction office. The reductions are part of regional layoffs that have affected roughly 650 employees in New Mexico, Wyoming, and North Dakota as well as Colorado.

The cuts are separate from the 8% reduction of its North American workforce announced earlier this year caused by a slowdown in hydraulic fracturing activity.
